How to Get Rid of the Irritating Horizontal Line in Word?

If you have been working in Word for a while, I am sure you had times when you were irritated by the horizontal line which keeps coming up for some unknown reason in your document.

For me whenever I have typed three dashes [---] it gets converted into the horizontal line and then after the horizontal line keeps popping up for no reasons. Like if you format your text with one of the Headings Style the line shows up and it’s practically very annoying and not possible to get rid of it. Don’t worry; you can get rid of it.

The line is actually a border and to get rid of it just place your cursor before the line and from the Tool Bar Icons Select the Border Icon which should be in your Paragraph Tab. From the drop down of the Border Icon Select the No Border option as shown in the picture below. That should take care of it.

Hope that was helpful!
