How to connect to TFS 2010 from Visual Studio 2008

Now that Visual Studio 2010 has been officially released and that you have installed the VS 2010 TFS, you are sure excited about using TFS 2010. You might have installed the TFS 2010 client and might be using it very well.

But what if you have some project created in Visual Studio 2005, for example a SQL Server Reporting Project which you created in Visual Studio 2005. There is no straight forward upgrading to VS 2010 from VS 2005 for SSRS Projects. So it might be a good idea to still have your VS 2005 environment, but how can you use the VS 2005 TFS Explorer to connect TFS 2010, by default you cannot. But the good news is there is a Forward Compatibility for VS 2005 TFS Explorer to be able to connect to TFS 2010.
So here it is:
Forward Compatibility for VS 2005
You can download the Visual Studio Team System 2005 Forward Compatibility Update for Team Foundation Server 2010 from here.
But before you install the Forward Compatibility Update make sure you have the VS 2005 SP1 installed, if not you can download it from here and install it.
Now you should be able to connect to your Team Foundation Server 2010 from your VS 2005.

You also have a Forward Compatibility Update for VS 2008
